She’s Married to Whom?

I was just a little girl running around in banana curls-
Playing dress up and house but didn’t really know what marriage was about.
But one thing I knew was that a family consists of a father, a mother, two kids and a dog.
That’s how we played back in the day.
So why doesn’t my home fit that equation to myself I would say.
My Mami working two and three jobs to keep a roof over our heads and on the table a hot plate.
Every Sunday making sure we made it to church even if we had to be late.
But it took me twenty-five years to see 20/20- to see the vision of my mother’s marriage clearly.
My mother’s husband she does love dearly.
Do you know this man, I ask to those who can hear me.
Sincerely I say.
Sincerely it is written in Isaiah 54:5.
Any woman alive should be in love with this guy.
His name- Jehovah;
Jehovah Jireh is our provider, an agape lover, healer and friend.
His love will last from beginning to end.
Definitely not something you can find in a club.
No game will He spit in your ear.
Instead, endless wisdom shall He provide filling you with knowledge and opportunities that will bring tears to your eyes.
He brings peace and understanding even if you’ve been called to the “Single Life.”
He can raise you up out of troubled times by you simply paying your tithes.
He will love you with an unfailing love.
Sometimes I still feel like that little girl playing house, but now the stakes are higher.
I have two children of my own and I- their provider.
Everyday I pray about marriage to a special man, but until I get revelation that it is God’s plan- on my two feet will I stand.
So love yourself, love your spouse, and love your children and those to come, yet most importantly make sure you keep God your #1!
